Live Webinar: “The Hoof as the Foundation of Equine Health with Thea Höhn”

Live via Zoom – Recordings available for 3 months

Thea Höhn is not only a certified riding guide and C-level trainer, but also someone with a sharp eye for detail—especially when it comes to hooves. Her training as a hoof orthopedist is paired with a deep understanding of the connections between horse management, use, and health. In this webinar, Thea invites us to see the hoof not just as an external feature, but as a mirror of overall horse care—and as a central element for training and well-being.

We begin with an introduction to the anatomy and function of the hoof to better understand why this part of the body is not only particularly vulnerable, but also incredibly revealing. Thea explains what makes a hoof functional and how its shape and structure can be influenced by management, use, and nutrition. This isn’t about a rigid concept of "right" or "wrong," but about providing practical orientation: What should I pay attention to if I want to keep my horse sound in the long run? How can I spot early signs of imbalance? And how do trimming, movement, and feeding work best in combination?

The webinar is rounded off with Thea’s personal insights from real-life practice—as a rider, coach, and equine professional. Because often, it’s the small adjustments that make the biggest difference.

This webinar can also be purchased as a standalone session. Feel free to bring your questions and ask them live in the chat.
